This spicy dish is sure to tickle your tastebuds. I know it sounds like a lot of chili but the oil really does bring the pasta together. This pasta goes well with crumb fried chicken.
Recipe:Serves 2
200g spaghetti
2 Tablespoons of Butter
2 Tablespoons of Garlic Paste
3 Tablespoons of Chilli Oil
2 Tablespoons of Soy Sauce
1. Bring a large pot of water to boil and add the pasta. Always remember to add salt!
2. Take a large frying pan over high heat and add:
· 2 tablespoons of butter
· 2 tablespoons of garlic paste
· 3 tablespoons of chilli oil
· 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
3. Stir the ingredients well for about 2 minutes till it turns into a thick sauce.
4. Now take the cooked pasta and add it to the pan and mix it well with the sauce.
Chili Oil Recipe:
100g of Chili Flakes
½ Finely Diced Onion
4 Crushed Cardamoms
1 Tablespoons of Sugar
2 Tablespoons of Salt
2 Chicken Stock Cubes (I used Knorr cubes)
10 Finely Sliced Cloves of Garlic
3 Cups of Vegetable/Olive oil (I used olive oil)
1. Take a medium sized pan and fry the garlic (7/10)and the onions on a medium heat till it’s golden.
2. Take a bowl and add:
· Fried garlic and onions
· Chilli flakes
· Cardamom
· Sugar
· Salt
3. Take a saucepan and add 3 cups of oil and the remaining garlic and cook it on low heat for 2-3 minutes. Once done pour itinto the bowl with all the other ingredients and mix well.
4. Transfer the oil mixture into jars and it can last up to 2 months in the fridge.
